This kitten is showing signs of being passionately interested in the chicken but not the cat food. In another couple of months it'll be the other way around!

What I learned at the Lane County Fair

I had quite a time petting (or keeping my distance from) some barnyard animals at the county fair two days ago and I learned a lot. While Tanner didn't bat an eye when the sheep started "bah-a-a-a-ing", I wept because it sounded so horrible and funny, all at the same time. The noises that pigs make up close and personal are totally disgusting, along with their general manner of existence. I also found that no one knew why goats have two strange pieces of skin that grow from their necks, and that turkeys are very, very ugly up close.
